An introduction to The Quality Teaching Guide: Literacy – Oral Language

Through this workshop teachers will explore the importance of oral language in the development of literacy skills. Teachers will use the Quality Teaching Guide: Literacy to understand the key messages and quality practices that will support learners to become capable and confident oral communicators.

Participants will

  • Become familiar with the format of the Quality Teaching Guide: Literacy online resource
  • Interact with colleagues to explore the Quality Teaching Guide: Literacy Speaking and Listening strand
  • Plan how they might use the Speaking and Listening strand of the Quality Teaching Guide: Literacy to refine their practice
