A series of workshops designed to develop and deepen understandings of evidence informed practice in literacy for those working with families and children aged birth to four.
Participants will have opportunities to link research to practice, build collaborative networks and have access to resources and tools to support their work providing quality literacy environments and experiences.
A small action research project will also form part of the learning program.
Participants will:
- Deepen their understanding of how young children learn and develop literacy skills
- Use evidence based research to inform and reflect on current literacy practices
- See examples of literacy practices from Tasmanian schools and sites
- Consider developmentally appropriate assessment for literacy learning in the early years
