Blended Learning Principles and Pedagogies

This professional learning session will provide participants with an overview of the principles of blended learning. The Department of Education’s Learning Management System, Canvas, can enhance face to face teaching to improve student learning through improved access, participation and engagement.

Through an inquiry process, participants will prioritise the advantages of blended learning to identify an appropriate focus for their context. Facilitated network inquiries in Terms 3 & 4 will allow participants to continue their inquiry focus with ongoing support from the Blended Learning Team.

Participants will:

  • determine the focus of their Blended Learning inquiry to support continual school improvement in their context
  • engage with principles and pedagogies of blended learning
  • understand and experience how Canvas can be used as a Blended Learning tool
