Program Description

This drop-in session will guide teachers and leaders through a structured process for developing and using quality assessment rubrics with the support of the Achievement Standard Guides. It ensures that rubrics align with the Australian Curriculum’s Achievement Standards (Version 9) and support student learning by clearly defining expectations, measuring learning outcomes, and providing constructive feedback. In the session we will also demonstrate how to use CoPilot to create student friendly language for rubrics.

Program Outcome

By following this structured process, teachers will be able to:

  • create effective rubrics that align with curriculum standards
  • clearly communicate expectations to students
  • support accurate and fair assessment of student learning
  • facilitate meaningful feedback that can drive student growth and achievement.
