Program Description

This online session for those working in the Kindergarten setting will provide the theory behind play, and a range of practical strategies. Participants will have opportunities to plan, and scaffold play based literacy learning using small world play.
The session will build participants understanding of:

  • play and how it can foster a language rich classroom
  • planning intentionally using play
  • how small world play can support oral language and literacy development
  • the role of the educator.

Participants will deepen their understanding of literacy learning through play.
