Program Description

A series of workshops designed to develop and deepen understandings of evidence informed practice in literacy for those working with learners in Prep – Year 2.

Participants will have opportunities to link research to practice, build collaborative networks and have access to resources and tools to support their work providing quality literacy environments and practices.

A small action research project will also form part of the learning program.

Program Outcomes

Participants will:

  • Deepen their understanding of research-supported instructional practices
  • Use evidence-informed research to reflect and act on current literacy practices
  • See examples of quality literacy practices from Tasmanian schools
  • Consider developmentally appropriate assessment for literacy learning across Prep – Year 2
