This spaced professional learning over three sessions will support Prep-Year 2 teachers and QTCs to build their professional content and pedagogical knowledge in early writing and reading including the well- researched strategies, Draw, Talk, Write and Share, Interactive Writing and Read Aloud.
Participants will build their skills and hear current research supporting these practices, apply these in their classrooms and have the opportunity for feedback and collegial discussion.
Through engaging in this program participants will:
- increase their pedagogical and curriculum knowledge around writing in the early years
- build a bank of evidenced based approaches to support the development of competent writers in the early years
- deepen understandings around the reciprocal nature of reading and writing

A 3-day session with 2 face-to-face and one online session
To facilitate collaboration and learning together attendance with a team is encouraged. Participants are required to attend all sessions – two face-to-face sessions and one online.
