This series of three online workshops centres on effective planning for curriculum integration, both within HASS and between HASS and other learning areas. The program will address integration through focusing on the development of conceptual understanding, inquiry and skills. The workshops will use the learning Area Planning Guides to look at planning for scope and sequence and the development of learning sequences. Microsoft Teams will be used for delivery of the workshops as well as for participant discussion and collaboration between each workshop. Note that participants can enrol in either the 12:00pm or 3:30pm session and links for each session will be shared in advance each week of the program.
• Understand the structure of the Learning Area Planning Guides for the year level/s they teach
• Understand how the Learning Area Planning Guides can be used to make connections within and across learning areas of the Australian
• Understand how the Learning Area Planning Guides can be used in the development of scope and sequence documentation and integrated
• Consider the application of their professional learning to their individual contexts
