Health and PE – Embedding Inclusive Practices (Term 3)

1 Day Program

back to Programs

This is the third of a series of three workshops designed for school leaders of Health and Physical Education from Prep – Year 10. There will now be just two state-wide workshops in term 3 that will be delivered online via Zoom. Participants from all regions of the state may enrol in either of the days offered. It is not a pre-requisite to have participated in the first workshops held earlier in the year.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for school leaders and teachers of the Health and Physical Education curriculum to work on:

  • Differentiation vs adjustments vs inclusion
  • H&PE – an inclusive curriculum
  • Planning for learning that includes ALL students
  • Exploring Universal Design for Learning as a programming tool

As a result of participating in the workshop, school leaders and teachers of Health and Physical Education will:

  • Ensure all H&PE lessons are inclusive of all learners
  • Understand the differences between differentiation, adjustments and inclusion
  • Be familiar with the Universal Design for Learning framework
