This is the second of two workshops designed for school leaders and/or teachers of Health and Physical Education from Foundation – 10 (both H&PE specialist and classroom teachers) to be held in terms 3 and 4.
It will build upon prior work undertaken in the previous workshop but will be productive for first time attendees. Workshops will take place in the South, North and North-West.
The workshops will provide an opportunity for school leaders and teachers of H&PE across both strands of the curriculum to work on unpacking the AC: H&PE; assessment and moderation; scope and sequence documents; pedagogy; using the DoE inquiry cycle: using and analysing data; and sharing resources.
As a result of participating in the workshop, school leaders of H&PE will:
• Increase their curricula knowledge of the H&PE Curriculum
• Improve their understanding of the moderation process in preparation for Moderation in 2020
• Engage with quality resources to support improved student outcomes in their schools
• Develop and build leadership capacity within the H&PE learning area
