Program Description
This professional learning, designed for kindergarten teachers and teacher assistants will focus on intentionally planning the kindergarten outdoor learning environment.
Program Outcomes
Participants will deepen their understanding of:
- current research around the value and importance of outdoor play on student engagement and outcomes
- how to create rich outdoor learning spaces
- ways to overcome barriers to outdoor learning
- the value of intentional teaching in the outdoor environment
- how to assist children to manage healthy risks and challenges outdoors
