eSmart: Leading an eSmart School

Assisting school leaders in building, maintaining and enhancing supportive and connected social environments to reduce bullying and cyber bullying and increase cyber safety within your school community. The eSmart Schools program supports Tasmania’s Combatting Bullying Initiative, to ensure that schools are respectful, safe and welcoming for all students. eSmart focuses on creating inclusive cultures through developing positive behaviours both on and offline. Attendance at this program is offered to all eSmart registered schools and is complimentary.

By the end of this program participants will have:

  • Developed skills and capacity in leading and implementing eSmart in their school
  • Gained current information and advice from experts in the areas of wellbeing and online safety
  • Engaged in professional conversation about the challenges involved in leading schools in a digital learning environment
  • Shared ideas with fellow educators about updating policies to keep up-to-date with the ever-increasing changes and developments in technology, social media and games that impact on student behaviour
  • Explored resources that will help you to be proactive in leading your staff and school community to develop and embed strong and effective practices to inform and protect your students
