An online workshop to support staff with outreach information and strategies when working with young children and their families. Participants will look at what current research says about outreach strategies, see examples of outreach in action across the state and share and discuss the opportunities and challenges of reaching out to families.
Through participation in this workshop participants will deepen their understanding of:
Supports to identify who is and isn’t accessing
Barriers to participation, how to acknowledge and reduce them
Building a bank of strategies to connect and build relationships
Building connections across DoE and more broadly
Standard 4 – Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments
Standard 7 – Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community
