Planning for Quality Learning Tasks in H&PE (K-6)

This 1.5 hour online workshop via Teams centres on quality planning for H&PE tasks. The focus will be on designing relevant learning intentions and what student learning looks like for different parts of the learning journey. This process was introduced at the Janice Atkin workshops in term 2, although attendance at these is not a prerequisite. The DoE: H&PE Learning Area Planning Guides (LAPGs) will also be utilised.

As a result of the workshop teachers of Health and Physical Education will:
– Become proficient in planning high quality learning activities for H&PE
– Create relevant learning intentions and success criteria for all learners
– Familiarise themselves with the H&PE: LAPGs to support their planning

Standard 3 – Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning

Standard 6 – Engage in professional learning

Standard 7 – Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community

1 and a half hour online workshop via Teams.
