AC – HASS Regional Workshop Term 4

This is the second of two workshops designed for school leaders and teachers of Humanities and Social Sciences from Prep Year 10 to be held in Term 4. Workshops will take place in the South, North and North-West.

It will build upon prior work undertaken in the previous workshop but will be productive for first time attendees.

The workshops provide an opportunity for school leaders and teachers of the Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum to work on:

  • assessment to support effective teaching and learning
  • ongoing moderation based on achievement standards
  • planning for systematic curriculum delivery
  • resource sharing

As a result of participating in the workshop, school leaders and teachers of Humanities and Social Sciences will:

  • Increase their knowledge of systematic curriculum delivery for the Humanities and Social Sciences Curriculum
  • Improve their understanding of moderation processes using curriculum standards
  • Engage with quality resources to support improved teaching and learning
  • Develop and build leadership capacity within the Humanities and Social Sciences learning area
