Program Description:

This face-to-face workshop will focus on gross motor development and key information for 2023 for Kindergarten, LiL and CFLC staff

The morning session presented by Lewina Schrale and Tanikah Ferguson (Paediatric Physiotherapists) focuses on Gross Motor Development and builds on information provided in the Canvas Gross Motor Development 2-5 Years Training Package for Educators. The afternoon session will provide an outline of the ‘2023 Communicating Learning Progress to Families’ requirements, including documenting and sharing evidence of children’s learning progress; and provide an update of information regarding key early years documents, including resources available to support planning, documentation, and assessment

Program Outcomes:

Participants will deepen their understanding of:

  • The typical sequence of physical development for 3- to 5-year-olds
  • ¬†Practical ideas, and strategies to support and promote the development of gross motor skills
  • ¬†Communicating children’s learning progress requirements
  • Updates to key documents (EYLF, ELTP) and the available resources
