Systematic Curriculum Delivery: Mathematics (Term 2)

This is a three session (1.5 hours each) spaced learning program delivered online.

The program will be split into three distinct but connected sessions. The focus for each session will be:

  • Session 1: Problem-solving
  • Session 2: Standard Elaborations
  • Session 3: Task design incorporating problem-solving, reasoning and the standard elaborations

As a result of participating in the course, Mathematics Coordinators will:

a) Increase their curricula knowledge in key areas of Mathematics with particular emphasis on embedding the mathematical proficiencies of
problem-solving and reasoning into task design and teaching;
b) Improve their pedagogical content knowledge in relation to developing problem-solving cultures in their classrooms;
c) Be introduced to quality resources to support the development of problem-solving and reasoning in their planning; and
d) Develop and build leadership capacity within the Mathematics learning area.
