Program Description

This course is designed to support educators P-2 who are experienced in the Early Years to

  • explore ways to include the ELTP in the schools teaching model to deliver the Australian Curriculum (as described in the Phase One expectations of the Pedagogy Focus Area in the Our Approach to School Improvement document)
  • reconnect with, extend, or challenge their knowledge and application of the ELTP Model
Program Outcomes

Participants will extend their understanding of

  • the Phase One (tight) expectations in the Pedagogy Focus Area of the Our Approach to School Improvement document
  • using the 5 key teaching practices from the DoE Pedagogical Framework
  • the elements of the ELTP model
  • examples of the model in practice for their year level
  • using an inquiry learning partnership for continuous improvement of practice

Participants will be provided the opportunity to

  • build and actively participate in collaborative networks
  • undertake a research project of their choosing, to further explore one of the lenses of the ELTP model in their school context
