During this two day program participants will gain a clearer understanding of how to develop a guaranteed and viable curriculum for literacy that enables teams to make effective assessment decisions. Participants will learn how to develop a guaranteed and viable curriculum and use it to develop agreed upon proficiency levels so that teacher instruction can be enhanced and genuinely responsive to the needs of the learner.

In these sessions participants will particularly focus on the first five PLC critical questions (as outlined in Collaborative Teams that Transform Schools, Marzano et al 2016):

What is it we want our students to know?

How will we know if our students are learning?

How will we respond when students do not learn?

How will we enrich and extend the learning for students who are already proficient?

How will we increase our instructional competence?
