Program Description

This one-hour online session will introduce the P – 10 Achievement Standard Guides for English, Mathematics, Science, HaSS, HPE and Technologies. These guides have been developed using the achievement standards of Version 9.0 of the Australian Curriculum and set out each aspect of the achievement standard with indicators at five levels of attainment and an example of observable characteristics.

This session will cover how the guides were developed and how they are intended to be used to support planning and assessment.

Common Assessment Tasks which are based on the Curriculum Maps Term 1 planning will be shared as part of this session and how they can be used alongside the Achievement Standard Guides to support Moderation.

Program Outcomes

By engaging in this session, participants will:

  • understand how the Achievement Standard Guides were developed
  • how to use the Achievement Standard Guides to inform planning and assessment
  • know how to access and use example common assessment tasks.
