Program Description

How do you know your students are achieving what they are entitled to learn?

The Achievement Standards describe the depth of conceptual understanding and sophistication of skill typically expected of students. They can support formative and summative assessment practices and aid consistency of assessment and reporting.

Separate online sessions for primary and secondary teachers in the learning areas of English, Mathematics, Science, HASS, H&PE and Technologies will be offered to participants.

You are invited to enrol in one or more of these sessions.

Please note that all sessions will begin at 3.30 pm and finish at 4.30 pm.

A meeting link will be provided 24 hours prior to the event.

Program Outcomes

By engaging in this session, participants will:

  • gain knowledge of the structure of Achievement Standards
  • understand how the Achievement Standards inform their planning, teaching and assessment
  • reflect on current assessment practice.
