This online workshop will be provided on Moderation Day, 2023. Kindergarten staff will moderate the markers from the Personal and Social Group of the Kindergarten Development Check (KDC). Staff will make specific links to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) Outcomes and explore how to document and share the evidence of learning progress.
Staff will also contribute to the development of a set of activity cards for the Personal and Social developmental group.
Participants will:
– Develop a shared understand of the selected KDC markers and how to assess them
– Make connections between the KDC markers and the EYLF Outcomes
– Use the evidence to inform documentation of children’s learning to share with families
– Collaborate to develop and refine resources and supports for use across Tasmania
Teachers:
- Standard 1 – Know students and how they learn
- Standard 5 – Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
- Standard 6 – Engage in professional learning
The 2-hour session will be delivered online
The link to the meeting platform will be sent to participants prior to the sessions.
Participants have a choice to enrol in one of two sessions
