Program Description

This is a spaced learning course that will cover many aspects of working with babies and their families.

The course comprises of 5 online workshops and an action research project to be conducted between sessions.

Topics covered will include neuro-relational development, Gross motor development, communication development, foundational literacy and numeracy and sensory support.

This course is designed primarily for staff working directly with children and families.

Participants will have access to resources and strategies to confidently facilitate baby programs and to support babies in broader 0 – 4 programs.

Follow up support to embed learning into practice and to network with others will also be provided.

Program Outcomes

Participants will:

  • Deepen their understanding of how babies develop, learn and communicate.
  • Build a repertoire of strategies and resources to use in their work with babies and their families.
  • Increase strategies for building each family’s capacity to support and celebrate their baby’s growth and learning.
