Middle leaders play a crucial role in teaching and learning in our schools.
Curriculum Leaders from Primary and Secondary schools are invited to participate in three spaced professional learning days to build curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment capability.
The spaced professional learning days will focus on:
- Day 1 – Assessing with the curriculum (Co-presented with ACARA)
- Day 2 – Explicit teaching strategies for how students learn
- Day 3 – Leading effective curriculum implementation
This professional learning will be an opportunity for middle leaders to build networks across schools to share and strengthen practice.
Day 1 will be co-presented with Julie King from ACARA who will focus on the purpose and principles of assessment
This professional learning is designed for leaders to attend the three spaced learning days, however you have the option of enrolling in one or two learning days if needed.
The professional learning days will focus on:
- Leading effective curriculum assessment and reporting practices.
- Leading the implementation of the pedagogical teaching strategies
- Leading a systematic approach to effective curriculum implementation
