Program Description
This is an information session for teachers with students who are approved enrolments in a Gifted Online course for 2024. The session is also aimed at school leaders who facilitate access to Gifted Online courses for students at their school. There will be a 25-minute online presentation with a chance to ask questions at the end. Both sessions are the same, teachers only need to attend one session.
Program Outcomes
Participants will learn:
- How to support students at school to maximise the academic and social benefits of their Gifted Online course.
- Understand strategies and adjustments that can be made to ensure students have regular access to their Gifted Online course.
- What information should be shared with parents/carers about Gifted Online access and participation for their child.
- How class teachers and in-school teachers can access student learning and feedback submitted through Canvas.
- How to problem solve challenges experienced by students in Gifted Online courses.
- How to implement teaching strategies to ensure Gifted Online courses reduce teacher workload.

These 30-minute sessions will be delivered online – 3:15 pm – 3:45 pm
