Program Description

This online session will focus on what is typical and atypical in toileting for children in the early years of schooling. It will provide foundational knowledge and understanding as well as practical strategies for teachers and teacher assistants.
The session will be presented by Lewina Schrale, Paediatric Physiotherapist, in the 2PS Program.

Program Outcomes

Participants will:

  • develop an understanding of developmental stages of toilet training.
  • learn about typical and atypical toileting, including red flags.
  • develop strategies to respectfully manage and record toileting issues in the classroom.
  • receive resources to support their practice and links to external providers critical to student care.
