This session will provide an opportunity for QTCs and Literacy Leaders to build consistent and aligned understandings around the DECYP commitment to Lifting Literacy in schools. System-wide directions, timings, expectations and evidence-based research will be shared. Participants will have an opportunity to collaborate and work together with others from similar contexts to share and plan.

Participants will:

  • know the system-wide expectations and the latest DECYP communications
  • share their school’s context and journey with screening, assessment and MTSS
  • build knowledge and skills for impactful delivery and implementation of the Qualiteach modules
  • network with literacy leaders across schools.

Teachers

  • Standard 2 – Know content and how to teach it,
  • Standard 3 – Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning
  • Standard 5 – Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
