Program Description

These face-to-face sessions are designed to increase improvement in mathematics teaching and learning and build the leadership capacity of people working in mathematics and numeracy leadership/QTC roles. The focus will be on high quality, evidence-based Tier 1 instruction for Mathematics/Numeracy aligned to the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics Version 9 (AC: MV9), curriculum maps and sample mathematics tasks on the TLC.

Participants will be given the opportunity to engage with: collaborative processes, mathematical content knowledge (including the progression of key concepts) and evidence-based pedagogical and assessment practices.

Over the three days there will be opportunities to network with other leaders and connect with the DECYP Numeracy Team who will outline ongoing support for 2024. Participants are also strongly encouraged to enrol in the Building Thinking Classroom workshops with Professor Peter Liljedahl in Term 3.

Program Outcomes
