Program Description

This program is a self-paced online course to provide information and resources to support staff new or returning to a Kindergarten role, or for anyone wanting to refresh their knowledge.

Modules include:

  1. Introduction
  2. Key Documents
  3. Planning for Kindergarten
  4. Assessment, Reporting and Communicating Learning with Families
  5. Kindergarten Teaching Practices
  6. Support

On completion of the course a member of the Early Learning team will organise a Microsoft Teams meeting with the participant to check in and offer any additional support.

Program Outcomes

Participants will:

  • Learn how the Early Years Learning Framework and the Early
  • Learning Teaching Practices Model informs and guides your pedagogy and practice.
  • Deepen your understanding of key early learning documents, resources and tools and know how to access and use them to inform your programs.
  • Engage in practical tasks and develop collaborative networks for sharing practice.

This program is self-paced and can be completed in multiple sittings, the time taken to complete the program is dependent on the individual. On average, this would be equivalent to 2 to 4 hours of professional learning. There is no deadline to complete.
