Program Description

Principal Capability Framework (PCF): C2, K6.

Following up on the work begun by Tom in 2023, these drop-in sessions (two per term) will focus on aligning school practices and procedures to school culture.

Term 1 will focus on Clarifying our WHY? – What mission are we on? Is it aligned with our policies, procedures and practices? Embedding collective commitment as our way of working and being.

Term 2 will focus on leadership as a share entity – more is NOT less. How do we distribute leadership without diminishing it? Building collective commitment means challenging our surface dialogue.

Term 3 sessions will focus on developing meaning – if we believe all kids can learn, how do we tackle organisational structures that might be preventing from this happening?

Program Outcomes

Participants can drop in (by following the meeting link) on any or all sessions which aim to demonstrate ways of strategically and operationally aligning school culture (mission, vision, values and goals) with school and leadership practices. The emphasis will be on sharing a range of strategies and real-world practices to not just implement these strategies but embed sustainable, long term, aligned change.
