Key themes of this training will be best practice strategies of support for teacher assistants.
- Building a team – communication goals
- Role definition – clear expectations
- Creating common understandings of what best practice is – how do we do this?
- Differentiation – what does this mean for teacher assistants?
This training will also cover some key themes to help support Teacher assistants.
- Promoting independence – for a student
- Fading back prompting
- Velcro v helicopter approach
- Responding to behaviour
Program Outcomes
Participants will be able to identify and implement key best practice strategies for working effectively with Teacher Assistants in the classroom.
