Program Description

Teacher Intern Placement Program (TIPP) scholarships are awarded to University of Tasmania (UTAS) students, in their final year of teacher education, who demonstrate academic, personal and professional aptitude for quality teaching. Being awarded a scholarship recognises a student’s professional potential and guarantees a permanent teaching position in 2023 upon graduation and successful completion of the internship in 2022.

Program Outcomes

The TIPP scholarship provides an opportunity to complete your final year of Initial Teacher Education (ITE) as an Intern based full-time in a Tasmanian Government school, working alongside Mentors (experienced teachers) who will support you to develop your practical teaching skills. Resulting in a permanent position with DoE upon graduation and successful completion of your internship year.
