This online session is designed to provide Prep teachers with knowledge and understanding of the needs of the children coming into their Prep class and the resources to prepare a practical plan for continuous learning in 2025.

Program Description

The KDC provides critical information about children’s developmental progress that should be used to inform planning for successful transitions into Prep. This online session is designed to provide Prep teachers with knowledge and understanding of the needs of the children coming into their Prep class and the resources to prepare a practical plan for continuous learning in 2025.

Program Outcomes

Participants will:

  • strengthen their understanding of the Kindergarten Development Check (KDC)
  • consider the implications of the school KDC data on planning for teaching and learning
  • identify the developmental strengths and needs for children entering Prep in 2025
  • plan to support children with ongoing skill development
